A Victory for Solar, A Victory for the Environment and Job Creation

Our recently-completed 66 kilowatt installation at Victory Brewing Co. in Downingtown, PA means local investment and local jobs."That's energy money spent right here in Pennsylvania," said a spokesman for Sen. Andy Dinniman at the event."It's a wonderful example of smart energy investment in Pennsylvania." Victory brewers Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski said government incentive money is money well spent.

"From our viewpoint as a business, it enticed us to jump in," Covaleski said."It made the deal more palatable and more attractive."
"I think the real hope is that these incentives will kick-start the manufacture of solar to bring the prices down so that solar energy could be more cost-effective without any subsidies in the future," Barchet added. A monitoring system inside the bar area promotes education and advocacy as it shows electricity Victory generates and uses. "We're in a unique position to show environmental leadership and hopefully, that will entice others to do the same," Covaleski said. We hope so!
