New Report to Outline Solar Energy Benefits - Local Solar Energy Success Stories & Technologies to be Highlighted at Release Event
What: PennEnvironment will join with solar power installers and labor leaders from the Philadelphia area to hold a press conference to release a new report highlighting the benefits of solar energy. The report, Building a Solar Future, outlines the potential of solar energy to power and heat homes, businesses, farms, neighborhoods and even our cars, enhancing energy security and reducing pollution. The report also identifies the obstacles to wider use of solar energy in Pennsylvania and the United States, and identifies a combination of policies that could boost solar enough to meet 10% of America’s energy needs by 2030.
