PA Sunshine Program Update - January 2010

Progress and Updates from DEP – January 2010

• Small Business Program: Now in Tier 3

Megawatts in Step: 10

Rebate Levels: $1.25/Watt for 3-10kW; $1.00/Watt for 10-100kW; $0.75/Watt for 100-200kW

DEP has received enough applications to fill Tier 3 as well, but have not officially reserved these funds. Many projects were likely rushed in due to the rapidly declining rebates and are likely not to qualify or go through. If you are a small business – do not delay!

• Residential Program: Still Accepting Applications for Tier 1 Funding, Nearly in Tier 2

There are 3.7MW left in Residential PV Tier 1, which has been moving and slower and steadier pace than the small business program. However, the program should be moving into Tier 2 in early spring.

Megawatts in Step: 10

Rebate Level: $2.25/Watt

• Solar Thermal Program: Still Accepting Application for Tier 1 Funding

Number of Systems in Step: 1500

Rebate Level: 25%
